Visualization for Knowledge Management – Experimental evidence

Categories: Categorie 1 |

Very interesting video on research at Lugano by Sabrina Bresciani from the University of Lugano and Martin J. Eppler from the University of St. Galen using 131 managers divided into groups of 5.   Using either visualization software or flipcharts, the groups worked for 45 minutes on recalling a strategy implementation process.  A recall test following a distraction task showed greater recall and better quality work.  Individually, recall and knowledge gains were much higher in the visualization software group than the flipchart group.

Good start on researching how relevant visual facilitation can improve recall, learning, and teamwork…

Of course, they used visualization SOFTWARE and a great iceberg image… (what you can see, what's invisible!).
